How It All Began
During the end of February, Jeremiah experienced severe nasal congestion and his right ear had closed up. He was taken to his Pediatrician who ordered antibiotics to treat his sinus infection. About a week later, we noticed there was not much change in his condition. We decided to take him back to the Pediatrician, she then ordered a 2nd round of antibiotics (stronger) hoping that would have some effect on his symptoms. Around the 4th day into the 2nd round of antibiotics, we noticed a small lymph-node big enough to notice. We then took him back to the Pediatrician who recommended us to an ENT (same one who performed his TNA years ago). After he assessed Jeremiah’s condition, he ordered a CAT Scan of the sinus area. The results revealed there was a complete occlusion of the bilateral maxillary, sphenoidal and right frontal sinus (basically he had a block in his right side sinus area). In addition, there was also a paranasal growth that the Doctor could not decipher 100%. He recommended a balloon sinuplasty and biopsy of the paranasal growth. On March 25, 2019 Jeremiah had a successful surgical procedure in which his sinuses were cleared out. At the same time the Doctor was able to remove 80% of the paranasal growth and sent it off for testing. On Thursday March 28, 2019 we received the results from the biopsy that he has B-Cell Non Hodgkins Burkitt Lymphoma. According to the Oncologist, this is an aggressive cancer but highly sensitive to chemotherapy treatment with a high success rate. Once this was determined, the Oncologist immediately scheduled Jeremiah for a PET Scan, CAT Scan & MRI. This is where Day 1 began.
